The Role:

• In the role of BNG Monitoring Officer you will lead on ensuring baseline Recreational Mitigation Strategy (RMS) ecological studies are undertaken; to monitor and report regularly on the delivery and effectiveness of agreed Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and RMS ecological enhancements and the expenditure of Section106/Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) contributions associated with green infrastructure; and to provide ecological advice in relation to development
• As the BNG Monitoring Officer you will negotiate with developers and stakeholders to secure high-quality green infrastructure, nature-based solutions as part of development proposals as well as provide professional advice to planning officers, Planning Committee, senior officers, and elected members on all ecological matters, with an emphasis on BNG and RMS
• The BNG Monitoring Officer will provide expert ecological and environmental input into council corporate projects and land management and prepare baseline ecology and impact reports for RMS
• The role of the BNG Monitoring Officer will monitor the delivery and effectiveness of agreed ecological enhancements on site, in particular monitoring compliance with BNG planning conditions and legal agreements and monitor the expenditure of S106 and potential CIL contributions associated with green infrastructure with a particular focus on BNG / RMS
