The Opportunity

As a Systems Developer and Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting the research and teaching computing needs of the School of Informatics. The School is the largest institution of this kind in the UK and one of the largest in Europe. It carries out research in a wide range of areas including computing science, AI, robotics, security and quantum computing. This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking to develop their knowledge and skills in system administration, service development and technical support. In this role you will assist with management of the School’s GPU compute clusters, specifically the deployment for taught postgraduate students, contribute to the maintenance and development of local infrastructure and services, and assist users of the clusters and other local services.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
